Hi there! I’m Chase, aka TempleGrower. I am a licensed medical cannabis grower under Canada’s ACMPR, having been growing and producing my own medicine since 2011. I, like many others, began growing my own cannabis due to the lack of availability/consistency, as well as costs of having to rely on both the legacy and legal markets. This has led me down the never-ending rabbit hole of cannabis horticulture, with inspiration from people like Sam the Skunkman, Nevil Shoenmakers, Rob Clarke, and all the rest of the trailblazers and pioneers. I am a huge proponent of growing your own and believe that the choice to produce your own medicine is a fundamental human right. Any ‘legalization’ framework that doesn’t include a home-grow provision is not real legalization. We should be as free to grow cannabis as we are to grow tomatoes, but that’s a rant for another time…

I have a B.Sc in Geology (University of Saskatchewan, 2014), and am currently back in university working towards a B.Ag in Horticulture Science. Nearly every aspect of my life is cannabis-related, whether it’s growing, selecting, breeding, bio-assaying (aka smoking), extracting, researching, creating/improving soil blends, or just simply talking about it constantly, I pretty much do it all.
